TERMS AND POLICIES
Please contact me if you have any questions!
PAYMENT
Payment must be submitted in full by the first lesson of every month. Invoices will be sent to students by email with the date that payment is due beforehand. If payment is not received by the due date on the invoice, all scheduled lessons will cease until it is received. Lessons that are cancelled due to late payment will not be made up. Cash, check, and card are all acceptable payment methods.
MISSED/MAKEUP LESSONS
Students must give at least 24 hours notice before cancelling a lesson if they desire to makeup the lesson, except in the case of an emergency. Same-day cancellations will not be made up.
If for some reason I have to cancel a lesson with a student, that lesson will always be made up.
There will be one designated makeup date for all students who are owed a makeup lesson per semester. This date will be determined and given to students at the beginning of each semester.
CANCELLATION
Students must give me 30 days notice before cancelling lessons in order to give me adequate time to reassign their time block to another student. Payment will still be owed for the last 30 days of a student's lessons regardless of whether or not a student still attends those lessons after the notification.
LESSON MATERIALS
Students are responsible for the cost of any method books and/or sheet music that I require them to have for lessons.
Piano students must have an instrument at home to practice with. Please take this into account when considering piano lessons.
All students must bring a binder with lined paper to their lessons. I will provide practice logs for students. Additional suggested items include a water bottle, pencil, and page protectors for printed sheet music.
SICKNESS ABSENCES
Students are not permitted to attend lessons when they have or have had a fever and/or vomiting within 24-48 hours of their lesson time! You will be permitted 2 sickness absences per semester and you will be granted a makeup lesson for each one. The spread of COVID-19 has changed the way many are conducting business, and we must all do everything we can to protect each other's health! Please be considerate and responsible; do not attend lessons when you are sick!
